I have both electric and Kohler mechanical pumps in series.
Just use electric as a primer.
Never been a problem.

What is the current thinking regarding fuel pumps?
There isn't any - either you need one or you don't. The lift height of the pulse pump is 18".

What is the current thinking regarding fuel pumps?
Currently the Marlin is fitted with the original vacuum/diaphragm type fuel pump and a fuel primer bulb. Is it better to use this pump or fit a low pressure electric fuel pump?
