It just looks bigger than my memory!

MOST things are bigger than my memory. 
Yes to the weather  - as most of us unconsciously edit out the gloom.

Eilean Aoghainn between Minard and Castle Lachlan - it's got a small nunnery on it only visitable during winter when it's not being used by birds.  That was one of the two days in the last 8 weeks when the weather hasn't been rain, wind, fog, dark, etc.
