It looks like it.  We quite often get ice on the loch even though its a salt water loch.  I think its the water run off from the hills and the rivers running into the loch that causes it, as the surface water probably not as saline as the rest of it.  I was amazed how much speed my first surveyor picked up when I flew across ice in Loch Carron for the first time.
