In our case they get choked with Severn mud, so as well as being out of the way they need to be quick release to clean the strainers !  I also carry a scoop made from a plastic oil can bungeed to the cockpit handholds - that is the last resort,  but useful for getting muck out of the craft after a run.

I have two pumps, as it needs two on the TS3 because of the centre spine that locates the seats & fuel tank.  It's just a pain where they will have to fit, as they will be in danger of getting kicked/knocked.

Do you use electric, bucket or other means of emptying water from your hovercraft?
All of the above :)

Electric every time, in a sump if AT ALL possible. Great to pump rain out, (which does occur I gather---- ::)
