Going back up in 48 hours for some camping, will bring the Gopro's so the video should be much better, this was just cell phone video...The river ride up was a lot of fun as well, decent white water in short areas-great for learning... as there were huge boulders to remind you of the consequences
but a lot of long-shallow areas which are perfect for the Hovercraft. If your in a jet boat it can be a difficult river to navigate all the way to the glacier, the Hovercraft made it easy. I think it was a 25 mile trip.
This river (Placer river-fed by Spencer glacier) has become the new test area for shaking down the rebuilt hovercraft, it has some conditions far different then the other glacial-fed river we were using.
I'm completing some modifications to the intake system and will post the findings and (my) fixes later in the proper section once I get them sorted out.
