Next time I'll take a big magnet, maybe I'll bag a load of rusty medieval nails (or a Knight's sword!)

Is that the "up river quay" we visited together a while ago? Perhaps a metal detection tool may "help"?!

This structure turns out to be a "lost" medieval quay associated with Llanthony Priory in Gloucester. By a circuitous route my photos and description arrived with local historians who seen to be very excited to have discovered its whereabouts. They've asked for more pictures which I'll be happy to provide once the river is low enough. I suspected it was old because the working level is way too low to be useful now, and it's known that historically the river level was well below current levels
