Had an enforced stop here to repair my "tired" skirt - probably has around 300 hours on it and now has the tear resistance of a sheet of paper 
. Time for a replacement!
Apart from a 3mph speed reduction and a bit more spray, the craft still worked OK in spite of the 3 foot ragged tear on the contact line at one side!
