This is the missing link - it was built for the UK Military to test how a hovercraft could be used. It was literally worked to death and finally used for target practice.
Apart from the main lift and thrust systems, this craft had two Rover gas turbines driving what were essentially outboard motor legs ( but much bigger ! ) at the back to give marine propulsion when off cushion.
The car carrying SRN4 was essentially two of these craft joined together and lengthened.
