1ft chop with whitecaps on the river 6 miles from the sea!  It's caused by wind over tide.  Easterly wind (about 14mph gusting to 22) was blowing upriver at the same time as the incoming tide was pushing up river - the combination produces a rough area of around 0.5-1mile in length that slowly moves upriver until it runs out of energy!
