Whatever you do, don't shorten it! It'll haves high cushion pressure as it is any more will kill it, especially with a segment skirt

Yep it does look like a bbv, il probably pay more for a pair of doors than I did for the craft.


Structurally it looks ok, but the peeling paint could be hiding things. Yep quiet is better. The 1250  duct should make it perform and be quieter.
I did think the skirt looked short. Not against a bad skirt. But do like segments. Loop and fingure might be a option.


I'd like a craft that's comfortable to ride quiet and have performance. So a bit of cutting is in order.

I reckon that's a BBV and certainly Bill Baker Vehicles would confirm that. Age is about right I reckon and its actual "make" will perhaps not help in its rebirth as modern replacement engines will surpass anything available from 1970-1980s! Old fibreglass has a habit of "not rotting much" but historically Bills craft were built "rather light" so any hull deterioration will not be good, whereas Kip Macs craft were renowned to be built rather thicker. Ground clearance was historically "poor" and less than the quoted / expected figures. IMHO as ever!
Lick o paint over the weekend and you're nearly there! 
They were rather noisy (similar to Jeremy up at Loch Fyne about 4-5 years ago), but THAT ended in a few tears.
Im sure you know the props / fans need to be redesigned if reducing noise is your thing, and im no longer a fan of finger skirts. I remember- you are? but a bag skirt would be way more efficient and I seem to remember- ive seen one with bag replacement.

can someone tell me what make of craft this is?

yep, i was daft enough to buy it, but it was not a lot of money.

came with a brand new 1250mm duct, 6 blade 5z hubs and blades and new kens bearing block, fan hub etc. not sure the fan is quite big enough, seems the tip clearance would be 10mm ish.

i recon the bits would cost similar to the cost of the craft:)

anyway, any help with the make would be good, recon it has the windscreen from a mini in it. craft has to be 30-40 years old, but structural does not look that bad, it needs a paint.

got an engine to go in it, was considering the 37efi briggs, but think it would be better with the toyota 3 cylinder aygo engine i have, 71hp @6000 rpm.

any advice on fan setup would be appreciated, going to fit a new 20-22hp lift engine, its currently got a rotten old 16hp on it, that i would not trust.
