Welded/bonded. Once you do it this way you won't go back, I believe that's true of a few things in life.
Welding is quick, less smelly and permanent.
Down side is if you make a mistake it's less easy to fix, I welded the last bag joint incorrectly, I now have a line of weld at the rear of the craft where I had to cut and rejoin once the twist was removed, even doing that wasn't too bad to do.

Yes, I finally did it. The skirt material was more like cardboard when removed.
I'm going to send the old skirt out in a viking style cardboard boat in flames shedding tears as it floats off in to the distance.......or probably just put it in the bin🤔.
The new skirt seems infinitely more supple...and shiny compared to the poor old 2006 model.
I doubt I'll wait 17 years to replace the current one, partly because it will be me that's decrepit before then :-)

Skirt replacement??? I can’t believe the oldest skirt in hovercraft land has finally been pensioned off, I hope it’s gone into graceful retirement!!

I expect Alice Mary is a good 50 kg lighter now all the patches have gone 😂😂

(Sorry I couldn’t resist)
