Yes, I finally did it. The skirt material was more like cardboard when removed.
I'm going to send the old skirt out in a viking style cardboard boat in flames shedding tears as it floats off in to the distance.......or probably just put it in the bin🤔.
The new skirt seems infinitely more supple...and shiny compared to the poor old 2006 model.
I doubt I'll wait 17 years to replace the current one, partly because it will be me that's decrepit before then :-)

Skirt replacement??? I can’t believe the oldest skirt in hovercraft land has finally been pensioned off, I hope it’s gone into graceful retirement!!

I expect Alice Mary is a good 50 kg lighter now all the patches have gone 😂😂
