I have to say I don't see the issue here - the pulleys look absolutely fine to me.  I've never had to change a cast pulley on any craft due to wear.  They corrode, being iron based, but very slowly and, if run regularly, any surface corrosion is polished off evenly by the belt.  Unless you have to re-tension the belt very hour or so then it isn't wearing any more than 'normal'.

My drive SPA 100 /2 pulley has corroded rather badly and perhaps because of the very rough surface - the belts are wearing away quite quickly. I think any sprays are going to wear off the V pulley drive surface very quickly and / or act more as lubrication thus reducing drive capability?
Although I gather hot dip galvanising may possibly help- I feel getting some one to do ONE! would be problematic as well as deposit zinc onto taper lock machined surfaces?
Im guessing the best way (only way) forward is to assiduously rinse off after each and every "trip" and perhaps I could run a thin water delivery tube to close to drive pulleys (ie just above the pulleys seen here) and then connect a pressurised garden spray outside the craft - pump up and deliver the pressurised water direct to the pulleys for a good sloshing. The excess water will also dissolve the salt encrustations on the aluminium barrels and heads, finishing off with a gentle warm through to thoroughly dry everything off prior to switch off.
Clearly a bit of a phaph about but im getting through a number of these drive pulleys and replacement is getting harder as my body corrodes away as well. Im only interested in the V grooves rusting as aesthetically- it's hidden away anyway. Does anyone have any other suggestions?
