I did keep an eye out for Somali pirates, didn't see any but that doesn't mean they aren't here 😉

They were definitely there - I saw them earlier.

Today's solo trip was to kilfinan bay. On the way there I took the opportunity to check fuel consumption.
At 2550 rpm-16mph-3.6ltr/hr
At 2750 rpm-20mph-4.8ltr/hr
At 3000 rpm-25mph-6.6ltr/hr
Readings taken in smooth water slight ripple very slight head wind


The trip was near perfect, stopped for pot noodle at kilfinan using the wood gasification stove to heat the water.
On the return trip I met John at the picnic spot, had a chat then headed back to the log house.

The forecast does look good.
I'm on a third solo cruise, I agree you think about what if's initially, after a while it's more a case of just enjoying the moment, the 'moment' as it happens is exceptionally enjoyable!
I survived my solo cruise, my engine didn't explode the ancient skirt didn't rip, I did keep an eye out for Somali pirates, didn't see any but that doesn't mean they aren't here 😉

Weather looks set GOOD with very low winds (guessed at by XCWEATHER) and improving sun shine as the week goes on. Looking forward to some light hovering with fellow craft as hovering without any back up or companions in case of a reluctance to proceed is tense to say the least. All went well though!
