From memory, they said the GRP version worked well, but he plastic ones were much heavier so gave more issues.  Kip did try to persuade them to slant the sides downwards to the back, rather than upwards as they have it.  Kip designed the original GRP hull, many moons ago

I had a go in a GRP hov pod at the weekend. Powered by a BMW R1100. It went well and was no louder than the Marlins. It did spray a bit but it was good.

There is a Hovpod for sale on eBay and a link to a video of it running, from that video I found others on the sellers you tube channel.
