It wasn't a particularly high tide - it gets another metre on springs (up to, and sometimes through, the gate!).  Tidal range on Loch Fyne is 4metres which is impressive but not quite Severn'ish!  And also explains why getting up the slipway can be challenging at times!

NEVER seen a tide that high.
For me - its acres of magnetic rocks interspersed with malicious boulders intent on destruction.  ::)
