Wow that's a great climate you've got, almost constant sunshine :) ;)
I like the JF harvester with the chute modification that was almost standard on those! That version had the greaseable bearings which was a good improvement over the sealed type. I know of a hovercraft that uses a pick up shaft from one of those harvesters as as a prop drive ;)

I wondered if this was a wild cat and have found they havent got pointy ears. Images of them show an astonishing range of variation.

Hi Rick

I’m based in Lancashire.
When we are at Loch Fyne we stay at the Argyle camp site in camper van.
It has its own slip, which is useful.
If you have a camper van, you can camp there.
They also rent out static caravans.
John has a house a few miles away on the side of the Loch.
Don’t know how experienced you are.....So all I can tell you what I did when I came along in 2017.
I learned loads from John and Steve over a weeks holiday on Loch Fyne.
It’s definitely a good idea to follow someone else, because I just didn’t know what conditions are acceptable and what the point is where it’s gets nasty.
I’ve never felt threatened by conditions in my craft.
But any of the lads on here will go out of their way to advise you.
I don’t know much, but if you would like a natter just message me.

Ronnie

There is a member map which you can use to find where people based.
The Scottish Hoverin is based at the Argyll Caravan Park near Inveraray.  There are quite a few launch locations around the Loch (it's 40 miles long!) - let me know which part you are interested in and I'll ID the "local" ones (most are simple short tracks down onto the shore, which is all that's needed for a hovercraft!).
