There is no flaw provided the trailer is kept at the same height and not moved between the various checks (for ultimate accuracy, block the three points up with something the same thickness as the scales and remove it at each point when measuring that point).  Alternatively, tow it to your local weighbridge and pay £2-3 :)

I am building a hover on trailer and need to check the weight - it isn't road legal yet -
 
I've found three bathroom scales and put one under each wheel - results as follows:
 
Nose: 30 kgs
Left main: 108 kg
Right main: 130 kg ( this was higher than the other side )
 
The total weight 268 kgs.
 
I've got a nasty feeling that there is a flaw in my logic but can't see what it might be -
 
any advice of a polite nature welcome ....
