I have a scar on my head where I tried to jump a mk1 transit  on a girls fold up bike.
made it over the transit but no bike.
fractured skull and seven stitches.
aged 7.

That's the bit I like the best, when you have created something from a set of plans and a pile of the chosen materials and end up with a functional work of art.  Not sure I would of had the patience to spend 25 years on one project though.  Hope he spends the next 25 years enjoying his creation ;D .

MY! What a joy to know that chap. Interestingly that has NOT made my build feel late or small, but HAS made my build seem so much more possible.How many of us have felled the glass fibre trees? Not many? His foot loss appeared to be an"inconvenience." rather than a problem. Spock he say "Live Life and Prosper"! :D
