I got a quote for a Menzi a few years back and IIRC they were very expensive, twice the price of a conventional excavator of the same output. It was cheaper to use a large machine as an anchor to hold a smaller excavator in place with a chain!!

I remember a long while back having a link to a company that makes these machines.
 
They drive them on the road, then when they get on site they un-fold the legs and it walks!

I think on that last clip you would not need a hard hat if it slipped though.....

I used to do all of that but got bored.
I now am in training for the Olympics over 70's Nude Leap Frog team.
 
He keeps practising in his workshop - frightens the life out of me!
