I see that Magnus Ivanoff has just clocked 143 km or 92 miles per hour in speed trials in Sweden.
Making him the world record holder.
I congratulate him on the achievement but would question that it was done on ice.
If one was to build a dedicated record making craft to operate on ice it would surely be a radically different machine capable of much higher speeds
I would envisage a cabin craft with minimal skirt. pointed front. roll over cage, seat belts , elevators, etc.
It was a very courageous feat driving a hovercraft at that speed but to be a world record perhaps the operating conditions need defining.
