Enclosed is evidence of the effect it had upon me.

What can you say?
I live in a small, quiet close with 11 semi detached cottages.
It is basically a small cul de sac with an elongated grass island.
We have just had main gas installation with the inevitable terrain damage.
I contacted our local Council to ask permission to plant a few spring bulbs around some trees.
2 emails later followed by 3 phone calls I was advised that it had to go to the committee.
That resulted in the request to comply with Health and Safety and fill in a risk assesment.
This is so that alll parties are covered from the possible mayhem that may wipe out the neighbourhood.

When I stop laughing I will do as they ask just for the fun of it.

Anyone know where I can borrow;
Orange netting
Steel toecap boots
Hi Vis vests.
Safety glasses.
A paramedic and a Safety officer.
Safety gloves and owt else I have overlooked.

When I am made Emperor of Europe H&S had better watch out for it's own H & S

No problem Kip, I have the lot,(in the shed with the GP :) ) but you also need a class 3 hi viz and other applicable PPE, the correct signage, cones and barriers, a cable avoidance tool, a genny, competent people(me :) ), a site specific safety statement, a road opening licence and a method statement along with the written risk assessment. I'll do the lot except planting the bulbs for 5000euro plus you make the tea ;) . That is once you have Gaz PAT test the kettle lead. :) :) and we may need a hot work permit ;D

OR

get a Santa suit and plant them next week :) :)

I also spend some time in the daffodil industry in one of my previous lives so I know my Dutch Masters  from my Golden Harvest :)

and of course dont

The only reason I asked permission was because of one neighbour from hell.
One way or another we will have a colourful Spring. even if I whitewash the trees.
