This one is for John R who dared to pour scorn on my beloved Beetle engines.

If this can be done on a bicycle then I'm sure a hovercraft could do better  ???

Ebay has told me that that "this is something you may like"
I could not resist looking and I am so captivated by the sales pitch that I desperately  hope I am not too late for Santa.

Gotta share this.

Just been watching a programme presented by Mark Williams on Industrial Revelations.
Michael Faraday was asked by the then Chancellor of the Exchequer , "but dear sir what use will it be"
Faradays reply was "It is highly probable that one day you will be able to tax it"
Brilliant reply.

Yep. Been there for years and not seen much action.
John's a real nice guy and I hope it does well or him.

That was the craft behind your old workshop?

I hope John gets a good price for it. That is the craft featured recently in Posh Pawn.

As a point of interest, we ran the school hovercraft up yesterday for the first time with the new tranmission and fan.

Robin 60 bhp twin cyl 2 stroke with a tuned pipe and silencer system to the recommended spec.

At full power - I don't know the rpm but assume its about 6,000 and using a professional sound meter:

 2 metres behind 92 db
10 metres behind 88 db

Presumably the craft used at Langstone for 'trials' will be in that general region of noise creation.

Modern 4 strokes are in a different league !

The pic was taken before the rebuild !
