thats pretty cool, its a nice site to launch from!

question for ian and bryan?

I have let me skirt out quite a lot, the contact point is inline with the edge of craft. I think someone mentioned reducing the skirt height might not be a bad thing, as i'm miles in the air, well 220mm. if i reduce this by about 50mm the skirt angle is more like 45deg again, do you recon thats a good idea?

ah, darn it guys weve been rumbled!!!

the time is a bit out as i set the tagger running when we got to the slip at 9am and we dident set out until 10:30

I guess we had about 3 1/2 to 4 hours on the move. We were respecting a 10knt speed limit so wern't going very fast. It was a nice relaxed pace - a strict 10 knots past the marinas, houses etc (2500rpm both engines, nice and quiet) and maybe 12-15knts elsewhere. Mostly.

The guy from the marina next to the slip came over to talk to us - he was more than happy to see us on the water, and invited us to join his club once hes got his new clubhouse!

Interestingly, whilst the was happy to have us on the water he was against jetskis. His reasoning was that we launch & go, but he objects to the constant noise of jetskis playing just offshore for hours. So that serves to confirm the value of avoiding the beach-buzzing thing - people will tolerate a noise thats short lived, but not a constant noise.

I hope you guys were given free bacon rolls and hot chocolate. That's the least a Christmas cruise organiser should lay on. Maybe hats and crackers too?  :D

Gaz, I notice the cruise was almost 7 hours long.  How long of that was spent in the pub? ::) ;D

I only wish I was closer to that area so I could have come.

Track of our route for this the last cruise of the year, all tracks (apart from the most southerly) end at the limit of navigation for that area. the arrow and flag are the launch site.
