I wouldn't have thought that you would have a shortage of that stuff over there.. :o   Our drought is so severe & long!..at the moment that farmers have mostly sent all of their stock to the meatworks & just retained some breeders for the future. Better than starving & dying of thirst in the paddocks. Local councils are baling grass from vacant land, football grounds & hay from slightly better areas & truckies are donating their big rigs, up to 3 trailers at a time, (Road Trains ), & giving it to graziers to try to keep them on the land. Sadly, tragically, the suicide rate among the farmers effected IS growing over here.  :'( :'(

Oh Eric, thats so sad. Clearly we have such different climates, and as such we all tend to regard our own environment as "normal".
I DID however glory in JOHNS VIBRANT grass even for UK standards, i.e. looking SO lush and healthy. Nearly good enough to eat!
In UK we unfortunately STILL hear from the weather forecasters - "unfortunately it may rain" as if its "dangerous" or some how not needed.
Farmers are always in the firing line for suicide perhaps because they can't control weather or other things that affect them?

Camera gets a bit carried away with colour saturation at times (although it was pretty lush grass - but not quite as fluorescent as in the image).  We experienced "brown grass" this summer for the first time since 1976 (that I can remember anyway!).  Usually, wet stuff falls from the sky with relentless regularity!  Doesn't sound good on Oz as this is just the start of the summer  :(
