A few hover'ed locations on this one (Kilchurn castle on Loch Awe, Eilean Donan next to Skye and Kilbride beach looking onto Arran) along with some epic drone footage (best viewed full screen!).

Not to sure about the "remarkably reliable" bit :) :)

Clunky old video but it shows how the knotter works - they are remarkably reliable for such a complex machine operating in a very dirty environment.

That brings back memories when driving my father in laws Fordson, (not sure what model but I think it was dark blue) whilst baling, the tractor would "surge" in time with the ram on the bailer!! Always wondered how the bailer twine knots were tied by the machine!

It had it's ten year re-paint a couple of years ago - it's always Fordson blue.  No idea what they made the sheet metal stuff from but it seems highly resistant to corrosion (it's been kept outside for the last 20 years).  They just seem to keep on going (ear defenders are required due to the gearbox which sounds like a washing machine full of scrap metal (probably was like that when new!).

Have you painted it? I'm sure it wasn't blue before!

I knew it wasn't a Super Major  ;) , not far off .  Have fun baling with the non live drive clutch. :)

Nope - just a plain Major (1956 and still going strong!).

Office view today :D   Sitting in my "air conditioned" cab with the heater (engine cooling fan) blowing straight at me - just what you need when it's 27C  :-\ .

My other  hovercraft is a kayak!

Weather  has been superb this weekend so for a break from painting we took the kayaks out. You wouldn't relieve this was the River Severn, a sandy island in the mud. Could have been the Mediterranean.
